What to know

Why rigid vs folding?

A rigid frame has no cross-brace, so no energy is lost to flex. Every push goes directly into forward motion — reducing fatigue significantly over time.

Insurance & Medicare coverage

Ultralight wheelchairs (K0005) are covered by Medicare and most insurance when medically necessary. A clinical evaluation and Letter of Medical Necessity is required.

How are they fitted?

Every chair is custom-fabricated to your measurements — seat width, depth, back height, centre of gravity, and camber are all set based on your clinical evaluation.

What is the lead time?

Most ultralight rigid chairs are built to order. TiLite now offers 5-business-day build times. Total lead time depends on insurance authorisation, which we manage on your behalf.
