Medical Mattresses

Medical mattresses provide support and pressure redistribution for people who spend extended periods in bed. The goal is to spread body weight more evenly so that pressure doesn’t concentrate at the heels, sacrum, hips, and shoulders — the areas where skin breakdown typically begins.

Types We Carry

• Foam — high-density or multi-layer foam for users at lower risk who reposition themselves
• Gel and gel-foam hybrid — adds a gel layer for heat dissipation and improved weight distribution
• Alternating pressure (air) — a pump cycles air through cells so the contact points shift automatically
• Low air loss — airflow through the surface manages moisture and heat at the skin
• Bariatric — wider surfaces and higher weight capacities

Choosing a Surface

Surface selection should follow a clinical assessment of the user’s risk level, mobility, and skin condition — not just a product tier. If a wound is already present, or a nurse or therapist has recommended a specific category of surface, bring that recommendation to us and we’ll match a product to it.

Also check fit: the mattress must match your bed frame’s deck dimensions, and powered surfaces need a nearby outlet for the pump.
