Patient Lifts

Patient lifts allow caregivers to transfer someone between a bed, chair, wheelchair, or commode without lifting by hand. They dramatically reduce strain on the caregiver and make transfers safer and more predictable for the person being moved.

Types We Carry

• Floor lifts (full-body) — for users with little or no weight-bearing ability; the sling supports the whole body
• Sit-to-stand lifts — for users with some weight-bearing ability and trunk control who need assistance rising
• Manual hydraulic lifts — pump-operated, lower cost, no charging required
• Power lifts — battery-operated actuator, less caregiver effort, better for frequent daily transfers

Slings Are Not Interchangeable

A lift is only as safe as the sling used with it. Slings are rated by weight capacity and designed for specific lift types and attachment systems — a sling from one manufacturer often will not fit another maker’s lift safely. Check compatibility and weight rating before every purchase, and inspect slings regularly for fraying or worn stitching. Browse our slings.

Before You Buy

Weight capacity, base width (it must clear your furniture and fit through doorways), and the user’s weight-bearing ability all determine which lift is appropriate. This is one category where getting it wrong has real consequences.
